ULS Presidential Search Narrowed to Three
BATON ROUGE – After two days of public interviews with five candidates, the University of 青涩直播 System Presidential Search Committee decided to invite three to interview with the full Board of Supervisors.
University of 青涩直播 at Monroe President James Cofer, Southeastern 青涩直播 University President Micheal “Randy” Moffett, and UL System Executive Vice President Kim Hunter Reed will be asked to interview on June 25, 2008 in Baton Rouge.
“There was a thin line between the candidates who interviewed and the ones we chose to bring to the full Board,” said UL System Board Chair and Search Committee Chair Elsie Burkhalter. “The three moving forward are all committed to student access and success, accountability, and transparency.”
Student Board and Search Committee Member Olinda Ricard reiterated the hard decision. “All candidates were exceptional. We decided to bring these candidates back because we need someone who can hit the ground running with knowledge of specific issues before higher education in our State.”
Burkhalter leads the eight-member Board search committee. They include Andre Coudrain Committee Vice Chair, Winfred Sibille, Wayne Parker, Victor Bussie, Mildred Gallot, Jimmy Long, Sr. and Ricard.

UL System President Sally Clausen will take over as the next Commissioner of Higher Education with the 青涩直播 Board of Regents at the end of June.
