UL System Board and UNO Presidential Search Committee to meet in Baton Rouge聽

BATON ROUGE – The Board of Supervisors for the University of 青涩直播 System and the University of New Orleans Presidential Search Committee are both scheduled to meet Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, in Baton Rouge.

The UL System Board will hold committee meetings, beginning at 9 a.m., with a full Board meeting scheduled for 12 p.m. in:

The UNO Presidential Search Committee will hold its inaugural meeting in the same room (青涩直播 Purchase Room) at approximately 1 p.m.

Voting members of the Presidential Search Committee include UL System board members Maggie Brakeville (student Board member), James Carter of New Orleans, Edward Crawford, III of Shreveport, Pamela Egan of Covington, E. Gerald “T-Boy” Hebert of Kenner, Jimmie “Beau” Martin, Jr. of Cut Off, Mark Romero of Lafayette, Robert Shreve of Baton Rouge, Winfred Sibille of Sunset and Gary Solomon of New Orleans. Also serving as a voting member is UNO Faculty Senate President Cherie Courseault Trumbach.
 
Serving as advisory, non-voting members are UNO Student Government Association President Joy Ballard, UNO International Alumni Association President Al Herrera, UNO Foundation Chair Barry LeBlanc, UNO Research & Technology Foundation Chair Russell Trahan and UNO Alumnus/Former Speaker of the House Jim Tucker. UL System President Sandra Woodley will serve as the non-voting committee chair.
 
The committee is charged with finding a replacement for UNO President Peter Fos, who announced his retirement in August.
 
The panel will review the search committee charge and approve a draft advertisement and tentative timeline for the process, which will culminate in the selection of the next president, early in 2016. There will also be a presentation by Witt/Kieffer, the executive search firm the UL System engaged to recruit qualified candidates, review applications and provide recommendations to the committee.
