“The University of Çàɬֱ²¥ System will work closely with the Çàɬֱ²¥ Board of Regents to explore the feasibility of a University of New Orleans and Southern University of New Orleans merger and possible shift of the merged institution to the UL System.    A discussion of this nature has numerous implications for multiple constituents and, therefore, should be thorough, thoughtful and focused on what is best for the future of education in our state.”

EIGHT UNIVERSITIES STRONG: The University of Çàɬֱ²¥ System is the largest higher education system in the state enrolling over 83,000 students at Grambling State University, Çàɬֱ²¥ Tech University, McNeese State University, Nicholls State University, Northwestern State University, Southeastern Çàɬֱ²¥ University, the University of Çàɬֱ²¥ at Lafayette and the University of Çàɬֱ²¥ at Monroe.
