University of ɬֱ System Vice President for Inclusion, Diversity, andEffectiveness Claire Norris presented the System’s newly released onlinedata dashboardto the Board of Supervisors.

The data visualization tool seeks to provide clarity and increased transparency to the Board and internal and external stakeholders.

“The Universities of ɬֱ are committed to being a national model for transparency,” UL System President and CEO Dr. Jim Henderson said. “The measures we highlight on the data dashboard tell a compelling story of the work of our System and the state of ɬֱ.”

Data categories include Access, Success, Faculty & Staff, Budget & Financials, Peer Comparisons, and Data Governance. The Governance section highlights the data leaders at the nine member institutions responsible for collecting, providing, and managing the data for display at the System level as well as relevant definitions to aid in data comprehension.

ICYMI: COMPETE LA IN FORBES

Compete LA, the System’s program to re-engage ɬֱ adults with some college credit but no degree, was highlighted inearlier thismonth.

“We know if we focused only on traditional students and did that perfectly—met the needs of every one of those students, recruited them and put them in the right degree path, and they were successful—we would still not meet the demands of the 21st century economy,” said UL System President and CEO Dr. Jim Henderson. “So for us to close those gaps, we had to address the needs of the large portion of our state’s population who started down the path but didn’t finish.”

The article highlighted the benefits of Compete LA’s new Academy feature allowing students to earn credit hoursthat transfer easilyto the UL System institution oftheir choice.Clickto learn more about Compete LA Academy.
